The popular actress of Upper Bengal Paoli Dam will be seen in famous director Fakhrul Arefin Khan’s fourth movie Neel Jochna. On Wednesday (April 24), the makers signed a formal agreement with Pauly at the Decalogue Management Center in Kolkata. The actress will be seen in the role of Laila, the female lead in the film. It is a government funded movie.
Before this, the producer produced three films. There were Tollygunge stars in every movie. Parambrata was seen in his ‘Bhuvan Majhi’. Sabyasachi Chakraborty of Feluda fame was seen in ‘Gondi’ and ‘JK 1971’. Pauly has acted in Dhakai movies before. Moviegoers were impressed with her performance in the movie Satta opposite Shakib Khan. The movie ‘Neel Jochna’ is based on Mushtaq Ahmed’s parapsychology novel ‘The Life of Neel Jochna’.
Pauli is very excited about returning to Dhakai cinema. He said, last year the director Fakhrul Arefin Khan contacted me about this movie. I first heard the story from him, even then I had not read that book by Mushtaq Ahmed. Then when I read the book, it was great. It can be said that I have been associated with this movie since that day. The actress also said that, to be honest, Parallel Univas has not been worked on in Bengal. There have been some such jobs in Hollywood.
Producer Fakhrul Arefin Khan said, I started working on the movie ‘Neel Jochna’ about 6 years ago. At the end of 2018. I think there has been no work on parapsychology in Bangladesh before. And that’s why when I read Mushtaq Ahmed’s novel, I immediately thought of making a movie.
Note that the shooting of the movie will start at the end of May. The shooting will continue till the last week of July.
