After the first three matches, the T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand is tied at 1-1. The two teams meet on Thursday with the goal of winning the fourth game to advance the series. Pakistan-New Zealand 4th T20I will start at 8:30 pm Bangladesh time in Lahore.

The first T20 of the series was abandoned due to rain after only 2 balls were played. Pakistan blew away New Zealand in the second match of the series at the same venue. The Kiwis won the third match by 7 wickets to level the series.

Due to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), the Kiwis are playing the series against Pakistan without nine of their first-row players.

New Zealand’s dream of taking the lead for the first time in the series with a great win in the third match. Chapman, the hero of the previous match, said, ‘The victory in the third match gave the team confidence. Our main goal now is to continue the winning streak and take the lead in the series. Pakistan is a strong team. We have to be careful and play our best cricket.’

Pakistan’s bowlers could not shine in the third match like in the second match. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is expecting a better performance from the bowlers in order to take the lead in the series. He said, ‘The main strength of our team is bowling. Bowlers have to perform consistently well. Hopefully, the bowlers will return to their best form. We can take the lead in the series only when the batting-bowling shines together.’

However, in the remaining two matches of the series, Pakistan is not getting All-rounder Irfan Khan from Inform Mohammad Rizwan. Both are suffering from hamstring injuries.

Pakistan-New Zealand have faced each other 42 times in T20 so far. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s margin of victory is heavy. Pakistan has won in 22 matches. New Zealand won by 18. 2 matches were abandoned.
