A mother committed suicide by jumping under the train with her one-year-old child due to a family dispute in Hajiganj of Chandpur.
This incident took place on Wednesday, April 24 afternoon in Ward No. 6 Mokimabad area of Hajiganj municipality.

The deceased are Tahmina Akhter Rima, daughter of Rafiqul Islam of Dhadda village of Hajiganj municipality and her 1-year-old child Abdur Rahman. She is the wife of expatriate Masuduzzaman Howladar of Swarna village of the same upazila.
It is known that she divorced her husband a month ago. They had a 4-year-old daughter and 1 son in their married life.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandpur Railway GRP police station Masud Hossain confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the body has been recovered and sent to the morgue. Legal action is under process in this incident.
It is known that on March 28, the housewife who committed suicide filed a complaint against expatriate husband Masuduzzaman Howladar at Hajiganj police station. In the complaint, she said that she had threatened to kill her husband.
The relatives of the deceased said that Tahmina decided to commit suicide as her husband Masuduzzaman returned to the country without resolving their family matter. She has been living in her father’s house in the village of Hajiganj upazila since her marriage.
