Two passengers of an autorickshaw were killed when the Dewanganj-bound Brahmaputra Express train hit the railway crossing in Pachapukur Par area of Mymensingh city. A day after this incident, the concerned authorities repaired the gate barrier of the crossing on Wednesday (April 24).

He said that the barrier on one side of the gate barrier was damaged during the accident last night. However, the damaged barrier was repaired on Wednesday afternoon.
But before the barrier was repaired, a resident of Uzan Badera area of Mymensingh Sadar Upazila was killed by a train when he came to the marriage market. Eyewitnesses of the incident said that the Brahmaputra Express train bound for Dewanganj from Dhaka was crossing Mymensingh Junction and heading towards Jamalpur. At that time, the train hit an autorickshaw carrying passengers at another crossing in Pachapukur Par area between Mintu College and New Bazar rail crossing in the area near the junction. The passengers were crushed under the train and died on the spot.
Eyewitnesses also said that when the train was coming, the autorickshaw went over the railway track due to the lack of barriers at the crossing. This is the accident. However, the barrier was quickly removed after the accident.
Meanwhile, a 6-member investigation committee has been formed in the incident of two deaths. On Wednesday (April 24) at noon, the head of the investigation committee and the assistant transport officer of Dhaka-2 Kamalapur. Members of this investigation committee led by Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiya visited the spot. At this time, they visited the site and talked to the concerned persons and conducted the investigation.
Earlier on Tuesday (April 23) night, immediately after the accident, the Ministry of Railways formed a six-member investigation committee to investigate the cause of the incident, said Transport Inspector of Mymensingh Railway. Shahinur Islam.
Mymensingh Railway Station Super. Nazmul Haque said that the investigation committee has already visited the spot. In this regard, the details of the incident will be known in the report of the investigation committee.
Assistant Executive Engineer of Mymensingh Railway. Akram Ali said that the investigation committee visited the spot. Another meeting will be held on Thursday (April 25). After that, the investigation report will be submitted as soon as possible.
