A young man named Mehdi Hasan (23) died in Amin Bagh of Demra of the capital. He is believed to have died of heat stroke.

On Wednesday (April 24) around 10:30 p.m., he was brought to the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital in an unconscious state. According to the doctor, Mehdi Hasan died of heat stroke.

Mehdi Hasan is the only son of Demra’s Eastern Housing Bamboo Pole Amin Bagh’s Juar Mandal.

The deceased’s aunt Israt Jahan said that Mehdi was the only child of the parents. He got married just three months ago with the wishes of his parents. He was supposed to go to Malaysia next Friday. But in the meantime, at noon today at home, he suddenly became restless in the heat and vomited several times. He was rushed to a local hospital. From there, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical for advanced treatment, the doctor in charge said that Mehdi was no longer alive.

He also said that my sister’s son Mehdi fell unconscious in the heat on my lap in the jam at Jatrabari flyover. I looked around, there was nothing we could do. We cannot accept this at all.

Bachchu Mia, the inspector in charge of police camp of DMK Hospital, said that the body has been kept in the morgue of the hospital’s emergency department. We have reported the matter to Demra police station.
