They are General Secretary of Mahendranagar Union BNP of Sadar Upazila Wahab Mondal, Organizational Secretary Afzal Hossain, Organizational Secretary of Jubo Dal of that Union Shahanur Alam Sujan, Joint General Secretary of Swachhasebak Dal Sohag Patwari and Union Chhatra Dal leader Saddam Hossain.
The 5 accused named in the statement of the case surrendered in the court of Lalmonirhat Senior Judicial Magistrate Belal Hossain on Wednesday afternoon and applied for bail, the court refused bail and ordered to send them to jail. Later in the afternoon they were sent to the district jail under police guard.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, Lalmonirhat District BNP joint general secretary and former chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad AKM Mominul Haque and Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Jahangir Khan appeared in the court of Lalmonirhat Additional District and Sessions Judge Adalat Judge Mizanur Rahman and the court denied them bail. sent to prison.
Meanwhile, Lalmonirhat district BNP held a human chain and protest meeting demanding the release of BNP leaders from jail on Wednesday afternoon. After 3 days of this incident, a murder case was registered in Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station, naming 81 people and 300 to 400 people of unknown identity. The defendants sent to jail in that case were named defendants of Ejahar.
