Barguna: During the digging of the pond in the Taltali district, Md. heat stroke. A laborer named Naya Mia Fakir (50) died.
The incident took place on Wednesday (April 24) in Khottar Char village of Nishanbaria Union of Upazila.
The deceased Naya Mia Fakir is the son of Amir Ali Fakir of the same village.
It is known that Naya Mia went to the house of Hasan Mia in Khottar Char village of Nishanbaria Union of the upazila to dig a pond. At this time he had heat stroke. Later, the locals took her to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor declared Naya Mia dead.
Sobahan Fakir, the brother of the deceased Naya Mia, said that she suffered heat stroke while digging the pond as usual in the morning. Later he was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex and died of heat stroke, the doctor said.
Health and Family Planning Officer of Upazila Health Complex Dr. Suman Kumar Poddar said that the person died before being taken to the health complex. He suffered heat stroke due to excessive heat.
