Raihan went to the pond with his mother and returned dead

Md drowned in the pond in Parasuram of Feni. An 18-month-old child named Raihan died. The incident took place in the Anantapur village of the upazila’s municipal area on Wednesday (April 24) morning.

Md. Raihan is the son of Shahidul Islam Nayan of Anantapur village.

According to local sources, in the morning, baby Raihan went to the pond next to the house with his mother. Mother was cleaning the pots and pans at the pond. At this time Raihan fell into the pond without his attention. Suddenly not seeing the child, the mother started searching. After his screams, the locals rushed to rescue the child and first took him to Parashuram Upazila Health Complex. From there Feni was taken to the General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Rayhan’s uncle. Shaheen said, when his mother went to the pond with his nephew, he drowned in the water. Rayhan’s burial was completed after Maghrib prayers.

Resident Health Officer (RMO) of Parashuram Upazila Health Complex Dr. Iftekhar Hassan Bhuiyan confirmed the death.
