A young man from Benapole died after being hit by a road in Singapore

A Bangladeshi laborer named Rakib Hossain (22) tragically died when he was crushed by a rod while doing construction work in Singapore. Rakib Benapole is the son of Mominur Rahman of Ghiba village of Port police station.

According to family sources, on April 3 of this month, Rakib was seriously injured when he was inadvertently crushed under a bundle of rods while working on the construction of a multi-storey building in Singapore. After 16 long days, he died last Saturday (April 20) night while undergoing treatment. This news was confirmed by Milan Hossain, the uncle of the deceased Rakib.

He said that on April 3, Rakib Construction was seriously injured when he was crushed by a rod. Soon after the accident, he was rescued from under the rod and admitted to hospital by Singapore Civil Defense Force rescuers.

Mominur Rahman, the father of deceased Rakib, said that it has been a year since Rakib went to Singapore. He used to work in construction in Singapore. Last April 3 he went to work as usual. At one point, around 5pm that day, while lifting the building, he was crushed under the falling rod. From there, Singapore Civil Defense Force rescuers and colleagues rescued and admitted to hospital. He died on April 20 at around 11 pm after fighting death for 16 days.

Mofizur Rahman Mofiz, Chairman of Bahadurpur Union Parishad of Benapole Port Police Station, said that Rakib, who was killed in Singapore, was a resident of Ghiba village in my union. Learned through his family that he was crushed to death while working in Singapore. Now how to bring his dead body to the country. We are continuing his efforts.
