The body of bank officer Azam Khan (46) was exhumed 15 days after his death in Mirsrai, Chittagong. The body was exhumed and sent to the morgue for post-mortem.

On Wednesday (April 24) at 11:30 a.m., police exhumed the body in the presence of Mirsrai Executive Magistrate Assistant Commissioner (Land). Azam Khan’s younger sister Nargis Akhtar and relatives were present during the exhumation of the body.

It is known that after the exhumation of the body, the relatives of Azam Khan staged a protest to demand justice for the murder of Azam Khan’s wife and exemplary punishment for the killers. Azam Khan’s wife and in-laws claimed Azam Khan’s death due to heart disease, but Azam Khan’s sister Nargis Akhter filed a murder case due to confusion and suspicion about the death. In view of the case filed by Nargis Akhter, the learned court ordered the exhumation of the dead body for the purpose of investigation.

It is to be noted that Azam Khan and his wife were injured due to family quarrels and fights. The pictures of both the injured were spread on social media Facebook. Two days after the incident, Bank Asia Feni branch manager Azam Khan (46) died on April 9. At that time he took leave from work due to physical and mental illness and went home to rest. When the family took him to the hospital from home, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Azam Khan died of heart disease from the hospital, but Azam Khan’s relatives challenged it, Azam Khan’s sister Nargis Akhtar filed a murder case against four people including wife Kamrun Nahar (36), wife’s elder sister Lutfar Nahar (39), elder sister’s son Tanveer (31) and wife’s brother Farooq. . Police arrested Azam Khan’s wife Kamrun Nahar in connection with the case. He is currently in jail.

Nizampur College Police Investigation Center Incharge (OC) Masood Khan made a preliminary report after exhuming the body of the deceased Azam Khan. He said that the body was exhumed 15 days after the death. Can’t say anything beyond that. Higher authorities can tell the details depending on the post-mortem report.

Regarding the exhumation of the body, Executive Magistrate Government Commissioner Bhumi said that the body has been exhumed and sent for post-mortem on the orders of the court. I can’t say anything about the rest of the court and police work.
