Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has again reduced the price of gold within 24 hours of price reduction. The price of one gold bar of 22 carats has been reduced by 2 thousand 100 taka to 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 taka.
Bajus said in a notification on Wednesday that the new price will be effective from 4:50 pm today.
According to the notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.
Earlier, after two days of increasing the price, Bajus reduced the price by 3 thousand 138 taka per bar on Tuesday and fixed the price of one bar of 22 carat gold at 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka.
Before that, Bajus had increased the price of 22 carat gold by 630 rupees in a span of one day on April 21 to 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 rupees. Apart from this, 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 709 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 662 taka per traditional method gold was fixed. Which was effective from 3.30 pm that day.
And last April 20, Bajus set the best quality 22 carat gold bar by 840 taka to 1 lakh 18 thousand 798 taka. And 1 lakh 13 thousand 397 taka per load of 21 carat, 97 thousand 196 taka per load of 18 carat and 78 thousand 242 taka per load of traditional method were fixed. Which was effective from 3.30 pm that day.
Bajus adjusted gold price 11 times this year. And in 2023, the price was adjusted 29 times.
