New Delhi: Subhman Gill stands in front of a new milestone in IPL. This young batsman is playing as the captain of Gujarat Titans (GUjrat Titans) in the current season. His career in IPL (IPL 2024) started in the jersey of KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) but he has been a member of the Gujrat Titans camp for the last three years. After Hardik Pandya stepped down, now Gill is handling the responsibility as the captain of Gujarat. In the meantime, Gill stood in front of playing his 100th match in the tournament.
So far, Gill has played 99 matches in the IPL and scored a total of 3088 runs. The right-handed batsman has scored three centuries and 20 fifties. Personal maximum 129. Gill is the 25th highest run scorer in IPL history. Gill played in KKR jersey in IPL from 2018-2021. In the first season, he played 13 matches and scored a total of 203 runs. Gill has batted at a strike rate of 146. Seva’s personal highest was Gill’s unbeaten 57. The young batsman scored that one fifty. It should be noted that the Indian team led by Prithvi Shaw won the Under-19 World Cup that year. Gill was an important member of that team.
Jho played an 18-ball 29-run innings against RCB in a knock-out match in KKR’s jersey. Kolkata won that match chasing 139 runs. He then played an innings of 46 runs against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier Two. On the other hand, he scored 51 runs in the final against Chennai Super Kings.
Gill was released by KKR in 2022. Gujarat Titans took him from the auction. The right-hander played a total of 58 matches in KKR’s jersey. Gill scored 1417 runs. Gill scored 10 fifties in the night jersey. His personal best was 76. Gill was the franchise’s second-highest run-scorer the season he joined the Gujarat camp. He played a total of 16 matches and scored 483 runs. There were also four fifties. Gill took the orange cap last season. Scored a total of 890 runs. Among them was an innings of 129 runs off 60 balls against Mumbai Indians.
