Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold by 2 thousand 99 taka per bari.

It fixed the price of good quality 22 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 per bullion on Wednesday (April 24) after prices fell in the local bullion market.

With this, the apex organization of gold traders changed the price of gold for the seventh time in April.

According to Bajus, the new rates are effective from 4.50 pm on Wednesday.

Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring chairman Masudur Rahman signed a notification to reduce the price of the organization announced.

According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold will be Tk 114 thousand 190 per load at the rate of Tk 9790 per gram.

Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at 1 lakh nine thousand taka per lot, the price of 18 carat gold has been fixed at 93 thousand 428 taka per lot and the price of traditional gold has been set at 75 thousand 209 taka.

Silver prices remain unchanged even as gold prices fall. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1 thousand 175 taka and traditional style silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
