MTNews24 Desk: Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in the price of gold. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by 3 thousand 138 rupees. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar is decreasing by 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka.
This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the price determination and price monitoring standing committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Tuesday (April 23).
Earlier, Bajus had increased the price of gold on 6, 8 and 18 of the current month of April. Among them, 1750 taka was increased on 6 April, 1750 taka on 8 April and 2 thousand 65 taka on 18 April. Later, on April 20, after a day of reduction of Tk 840, on April 21, Bajus again increased the load by Tk 630. After that, within 48 hours, Bajus announced to reduce the supply of good quality gold by 3138.
According to the association of gold traders, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new prices will be effective from 4 PM on April 23.
According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 16 thousand 290, 21 carat gold price is Tk 1 lakh 10 thousand 995, 18 carat is Tk 95 thousand 143 and traditional gold price is Rs. It will be 76 thousand 586 taka.
The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
Earlier, Bajus had hiked gold prices on April 21. Which is effective on the same day. According to that price, the best quality or 22 carat gold is sold at 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka, 21 carat 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka, 18 carat 97 thousand 709 taka and traditional method gold is sold at 8 thousand 662 taka. .
