A 36-year-old Yogesh Kumar committed suicide in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Indian media NDTV reported on Wednesday (April 24) that Manikarnika Kumari, Yogesh’s 28-year-old wife, died in a road accident on Monday. Since then he fell into mourning. And unable to bear this grief, he committed suicide on Tuesday.

Yogesh and Manikarnika got married just six months ago. Manikarnika was a paramedic. On the other hand Yogesh used to teach.

Police said Yogesh left a note before committing suicide. In it he wrote, “We will live together and die together.”

Manikarnika lost her life in a car accident on Lucknow-Harodoi highway under Susra police station on Monday.

Indresh Kumar Yadav, police officer in charge of Susra, said Manikarnika was going to her workplace on a scooter at the time of the accident. Then he fell from the scooter after being hit by an unknown vehicle. Then he died.

Manikarnika’s husband was informed about the accident and her death after taking out the ID card and mobile number.

Manikarnika’s husband Yogesh came to the spot and returned home with his wife’s belongings. Then he went home and locked himself in the room.

A neighbor came to comfort Yogesh and knocked on the door of the house. But he broke the door without getting any response and found Yogesh hanging from the ceiling of the room. Then the neighbor quickly informed the police. The police came and took his body for post-mortem.
