Gold prices in the country fell again within 24 hours. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of good quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold by Tk 2,099. This price has been effective from 4 pm today, Wednesday (April 24).
According to Bajus, from 4:50 PM today, the price of a 22 carat gold bar has been fixed at Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 190. Earlier, the price per load of the same quality was 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. At the same time, this price has been reduced in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market.
From now on, the price of 22 carat gold per gram is 9 thousand 790 taka, 21 carat gold price is 9 thousand 345 taka per gram and 18 carat gold price is 8 thousand 10 taka per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional method is 6 thousand 448 taka.
In the last 24 hours, the price of 22 carat gold was Tk 9,970 per gram, 21 carat gold was Tk 9,516 per gram and 18 carat gold was Tk 8,157 per gram. The price of gold per gram of traditional method is 6 thousand 566 taka.
In the previous 48 hours, the price of 22 carat gold was Tk 10,239 per gram, 21 carat gold was Tk 9,774 per gram and 18 carat gold was Tk 8,377 per gram. The price of traditional gold per gram is 6 thousand 788 taka.
Although the price of gold has increased, there is no change in the price of silver. Therefore, today as before, the price of 22 carat silver is 180 taka per gram, 21 carat silver price is 172 taka per gram and 18 carat silver price is 147 taka per gram. The cost of traditional method is Rs 110 per gram of silver.
