The price of gold continues to fluctuate in the country’s market. The price of gold is falling by 2 thousand 100 rupees in a day. The price of good quality, i.e. hall-marked 22 carat gold stands at Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 per load. The new price will be effective from Wednesday.

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) informed the matter in a press release on Wednesday (April 24). It is said that the price of pure gold has decreased in the local market, so the new price of gold has been fixed.

According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold per bar (11.664 grams) will be 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 taka. Apart from this, the price of gold has been fixed at 1 lakh 9 thousand taka per 21 carat, 93 thousand 429 taka per 18 carat and 75 thousand 209 taka per traditional method.

Earlier, on April 23, gold prices were reduced by Tk 3,138 to Tk 1,16,290 for fine quality, i.e. hall-marked 22 carat gold. Apart from this, the price of gold is fixed at 1 lakh 10 thousand 995 taka per 21 carat, 95 thousand 143 taka per 18 carat and 76 thousand 586 taka per traditional method.

And last April 21, Bajus increased the price of 22 carat gold by 630 taka to 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka. Apart from this, 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 709 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 662 taka per traditional method gold was fixed. Which was effective from 3.30 pm that day.

Earlier, on April 20, Bajus had reduced gold prices. Which is effective on the same day. According to that price till 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoon, the price of best quality or 22 carat gold was Tk 1 lakh 18 thousand 798, 21 carat gold price was Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 397, 18 carat was Tk 97 thousand 197 and traditional method was 78 thousand 242 taka.
