Meanwhile, on Wednesday (April 24) morning, the police recovered the body of her lover Mitu from Bukwara Baor of Jessore Sadar Upazila.
According to the locals, on Wednesday morning, the dead body of a woman in a saree was found lying next to Bukwara Baor of Jessore Sadar Upazila. A mobile phone was lying with him at the time. When they informed, the police came and recovered the body.
In this regard, DB (Detective Branch) SI (Deputy Inspector) Khan Maidul Islam Rajeev said that the deceased Mitu’s house is in Patkelghata of Satkhira. He was once a Muslim. Her name was Khadija then. Later he converted to Hinduism. He came to Jessore with a young man from his locality. At one stage the young man killed him by strangulation. Later, a team of detectives arrested the young man. When asked for the name and address of the youth, Maidul said that the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, a source in Halsa village said that the arrested lover’s name is Mrinmoy. He is also a resident of Patkelghata. A team of DB arrested Mrinmoy from Halsa village at 10 am on Wednesday.
