He was admitted to a private hospital in Savar for treatment. He was in the ICU of a private hospital called Enam Medical College in Savar, Dhaka. Babita Akhter (37) breathed her last at around 1 pm on Monday while undergoing treatment.

His brother-in-law Mohammad Quader Hriday said that on April 15, Babita Akhtar went to Palli Vidyut area of ​​Ashulia to eat fuchka with her son and daughter. He was returning home in a battery operated rickshaw with his son and daughter around eight o’clock in the night. When that rickshaw reached Palashbari area of ​​Nabinagar-Chandra highway, two robbers on a motorcycle came and tried to pull Babita’s hand bag and gold chain from her neck.

Babita went to stop them. At that time he lost control and fell on the road. Babita gets hit on the head. He was rescued and first taken to a nearby clinic. Later he was taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar. He was under treatment in ICU there.
