The Prime Minister is going to Thailand today

To strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka today for Bangkok on a six-day official visit to Thailand at the invitation of her Thai counterpart Sretha Thavisin.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage is scheduled to leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10 am on Wednesday (April 24).

The plane is scheduled to land at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport at 1:30 p.m. local time. Prime Minister’s speech writer. Nazrul Islam confirmed this. This will be the Prime Minister’s first bilateral visit after forming the government in January.

The Prime Minister will visit till April 29. An agreement, three memorandums of understanding and a letter of interest are likely to be signed between the two countries to enhance cooperation with Thailand during the visit. The Prime Minister will be formally welcomed by Thai Prime Minister Sretha Tavisin on April 26 and will be given a formal guard of honour.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Thailand on April 24 to 29, Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, ‘This is both a bilateral and multilateral visit.’

He said, this visit is significant for both sides. Because it will open a new window of cooperation between two friendly countries (Bangladesh and Thailand).

Next Friday, the Prime Ministers of the two countries will hold a bilateral meeting at the Government House of Thailand. On that day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will attend a state lunch hosted by the Prime Minister of Thailand as a courtesy. During the visit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also meet King Maha Vajira-Longkorn Phra Vajira-Klachao-Uhua and Queen Sudhida Vajrasudha-Bimala-Lakshman at the Royal Palace of Thailand.
