Killing a physically challenged person for offering marriage; Rang Mistry’s death sentence

Gulshan Ara, physically challenged, was strangled to death after proposing marriage in Chandina, Comilla. Because of this. The court of Comilla sentenced a painter named Mukbul Hossain to death. According to the details of the case, on August 11, 2015, after going to the shop to fetch tea at 7 pm, his relatives started searching for him at various places. At one point Dhincha finds Gulshan’s dead body.

In this regard, the victim’s father, Comilla Chandina Upazila Ranicha (Nayakandi) village. On August 12, 2015, Sharif filed a case against unnamed defendants as plaintiff. According to investigating officer SI Swapan Kumar Das Gulshan Ara’s mobile phone, 18 days after the incident, the accused son of Manumia of the same village. Mukbul was arrested. Maqbool gave a confessional statement in court.

It is known in the deposition – Gulshan Ara along with the accused Md. Mukbul Hossain had a physical relationship. Gulshan Ara was pregnant when the accused proposed marriage to her. Mukbul Hossain rejected it. On the day of the incident, he called Gulshan from his house and took him to the east side of Gulshan’s house for dinner and strangled him with a veil around his neck.

The investigating officer submitted the charge sheet to the court on January 25, 2016. After reviewing the confessional statement, the court sentenced him to death. Also paid a fine of 25 thousand taka.

Expressing satisfaction with this verdict, the counsel for the state side, Additional PP Advocate Md. Niamat Ulyah Chowdhury Zaman said, I hope the high court will uphold this judgment and implement it quickly.
