Calcutta High Court ordered cancellation of 26 thousand jobs in SSC recruitment corruption case. A special division bench of Justice Debanshu Basak and Justice Mohammad Shabbar Rashidi ruled on Monday that the 2016 recruitment process was illegal. So that recruitment process is cancelled. SSC can start the recruitment process afresh after the Lok Sabha polls. In that judgment, the court also ordered many to return the salary money.

Is the state in the Supreme Court today against the cancellation of jobs?

The state has approached the Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict. They have started preparations with this. Today will see whether the state goes to the Supreme Court or not.

Jora sabha Mamtar

Mamata Banerjee is starting the campaign for the Lok Sabha seats in South Bengal after completing the North Bengal campaign. His first meeting today will be in Hasan assembly constituency under Birbhum Lok Sabha. The meeting organized near the Tarapeeth temple will be in support of Trinamool candidate and outgoing MP Shatabdi Roy. The next meeting will be held at Vatar in East Burdwan. He will campaign there in support of Trinamool candidate and former cricketer Kirti Azad. Dilip Ghosh is the BJP candidate for this seat. Former IPS Debashis Dhar has contested against Shatabdi in Birbhum. Mamata will hold a meeting in the ground of Eruar village of Bhatar in East Burdwan around 12 noon today.

Shah’s double meeting

So far Union Home Minister Amit Shah has held only one meeting in Bengal. He campaigned in Balurghat seat last week. Although he came to the state last Sunday, he could not go to the Darjeeling venue. Today he is coming again to Bengal. Meetings are held in Raiganj and Maldah South Lok Sabha constituencies. He will first do a road-show at Shyamaprasad intersection in Malda at 12:15 PM. Later at around 1:10 PM, he held a public meeting in Raiganj’s Karandighi.

Abhishek Banerjee will hold two campaign meetings in North Bengal today. He will hold his first public meeting today as the Trinamool candidate for Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency Gopal Lama.
