Own Correspondent, Barisal: The police recovered the body of a young man named Amin Khan (18) with a net tied around his neck in Muladi, Barisal. The body was recovered from the bank of a pond in Charmithua village of Kazirchar union of the upazila at around 11:30 am on Monday.
Deceased Amin Khan is the son of Ghiyas Khan of village Ratanpur of Kazirhat police station in nearby Mehendiganj upazila. She had been missing since she left home last Saturday evening. According to the family, Amin Khan committed suicide in Muladi out of contempt for his father.
Amin Khan’s father Ghiyas Khan said that his son had sold an irrigation pump of the house to Idris Dhali of the area on April 19. The matter was arbitrated at Ratanpur Police Camp last Saturday around 11 o’clock. The irrigation pump was taken back with Tk 1,400. He scolded his son and forbade him to do such work in the future.
Ghiyas Khan also said that on that evening, Amin left the house with pride and did not return at night. After searching for the relatives in various places, unsuccessfully informed the Kazirhat police station. Yesterday, after receiving information from Muladi police station, he identified the body of his son in Charmithua village.

Later the police recovered the body. It is believed that the young man committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree with a net around his neck. Later the net was torn and was on the bank of the pond.
