A rickshaw driver fell ill and died while driving a rickshaw near Dhaka Nursing College amid the ongoing heat wave. At that time there were two passengers in his rickshaw.

The house of deceased Abdul Awal (45) is in Habiganj. He lived in Narayanganj.
Sub-inspector of Shahbag police station Suman Basak said that Abdul Awal brought two passengers in a rickshaw near the college. At that time he started shaking and suddenly fell out of the rickshaw and became unconscious.
When he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead around 4:30 pm.
Suman Basak said, he thinks the rickshaw puller may have died of heat stroke.
The hospital’s medical officer Kishore Kumar said the rickshaw puller was brought dead. Whether he died of heat stroke or not will be known after the post-mortem.
