Two students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CHUTE) were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a motorcycle. Another person was seriously injured in this accident. His condition is critical.
The accident happened on Monday (April 22) afternoon in the area adjacent to Selina Quader Chowdhury College on Kaptai Road in Chittagong.
The deceased are Shanto Saha, a 20th batch student of Chuet’s Civil Engineering department and Taufik Hossain, a 21st batch student. Shanta Saha is the son of Kajal Saha of ward number four of Narsingdi Sadar. And Taufiq is the son of Mohammad Delwar Hossain of ward number two, New College Road, Sudharam, Noakhali.
The injured students in this accident are Zakaria Himu. He is said to be a 21st batch student.
According to local sources, the accident occurred in a head-on collision between a bus and a motorcycle. All the victims were on motorcycles.
According to Chuet’s Facebook page, the Chuet family is saddened by the untimely death of two talented students. May almighty rest their souls in peace. The Chuet family is demanding exemplary punishment for the culprits in the incident and expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family.
