Dhaka: A nut seller named Kazimuddin (40) was electrocuted while repairing a table fan at his residence in Sipahi Bagh, Khilgaon of the capital.

The incident took place on Monday (April 22) at around 10:30 am in a house at Sipahi Bagh Chowdhury Bari Mor. When his relatives took him to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital in a critical condition, doctors declared him dead at around 1:15 p.m.

Kazimuddin’s wife Morsheda Begum said in the hospital that the small table fan at home was lost. That fan was fixing in the morning. From there he got electrocuted and got seriously injured. He was immediately taken to the local Faraji Hospital. From there, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

He also said that their village home is in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj district. Currently I am staying in a house in Khilgaon Sipahibag Chowdhury Bari Mor area. Her husband Kazimuddin used to sell nuts in a van.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Assistant Incharge (ASI) Md. Masud said that when the man was brought to the hospital in a critical condition from Khilgao Sipahibagh area, the doctor declared him dead. Relatives said he was electrocuted. The body has been kept in the morgue.
