Professor Anu Muhammad, member secretary of the National Committee for Protection of Oil-Gas-Mineral Resources and Power-Port, was injured while getting off the train at the Khilgaon crossing of the capital on Sunday. He is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. However, his next treatment will be done by the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Board.
He will be taken to the burn institute on Monday morning on the orders of the health minister.

Tanzim Uddin Khan said, doctors took Professor Anu Muhammad to the surgery room of the emergency department of Dhaka Medical Center yesterday afternoon and performed surgery on his leg. Five toes of the left foot were amputated and the skin and tissue there were torn. Cleaned them under anesthesia. He was then kept in the post-operative ward. Later that night he was shifted to the cabin.
He also said that if the condition improves, the doctors said that he will undergo a major surgery on his leg later. But this will require several surgeries.
