Natore’s Singray college student niece accused of rape and murder. The court sentenced Shahadat Hossain (35) to death and fined Tk 20,000.

Lawyer about the case. Anisur Rahman said that on the morning of August 4, 2019, the victim’s family went to the funeral of his cousin in the nearby village. Around 3 pm, the victim’s younger brother came home from school without seeing his elder sister, climbed the ladder to the second floor and found the dead body hanging with the veil wrapped around the neck. At that time, when people went outside to call, the accused Shahadat from the neighboring chatal went up again, untied the knot of the veil and left the victim’s body on the second floor and came down. After that, when the other members of the house came, Shahadat Hossain ran away in fear, the villagers chased him and arrested him. In this incident, the mother of the victim was deleted. Sonavan Bibi filed a case in Singra police station as plaintiff.
The investigating officer of the case Singra Police Station Sub-Inspector Md. Rafiqul Islam and Inspector Md. Monirul Islam submitted the charge sheet to the court on October 31, 2019. After the evidence, the court gave this verdict today.
The government counsel said that we are happy with the court’s verdict.
