In 19 days, expatriate income reached 128 million 15 million dollars

Dhaka: In the first 12 days of April around Eid-ul-Fitr, the speed of remittance or expatriate income was high. At this time, an average of 73.1 million dollars comes in every day.

As the pace slowed down in the following week, the average daily income of expatriates came to the country stood at 67.4 million 47 thousand 895 dollars. In total, on April 19, 128 crore 15 lakh 10 thousand dollars arrived, which is 14 thousand 32 crore 53 lakh taka in Bangladeshi currency (as 109 taka 50 paisa per dollar).

Bangladesh Bank released this information on Sunday (April 21). According to the data, the daily average income of expatriates in March is 66.65 million 61 thousand 666 dollars. At the same time in April of last year, five crore 61 lakh 63 thousand 666 US dollars came every day.

Analyzing the data, it can be seen that on the 19th of April, the expatriate income through the state-owned banks was 11 million three hundred and twenty thousand dollars. 7 crore 90 lakh 90 thousand dollars came through Krishi Bank. 108 crore 81 lakh 70 thousand dollars came through private commercial banks. And 39 million 30 thousand dollars came through foreign banks for business in the country.

The highest expatriate income as a single bank came through Islami Bank. No expatriate income came through foreign banks Uri Bank, State Bank of India, National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank. No expatriate income came through ICB Islami Bank, Citizen Bank, Community Bank, Rajshahi Krishi Bank and BDBL Bank.
