Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold again within 24 hours of the price reduction. In the new announcement, the price of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold has been increased by Tk 630 to Tk 1 lakh 19 thousand 428.
The apex body of gold traders said that the new prices came into effect from 3:30 pm on Sunday.

Apart from this, the price of gold has been set at 1 lakh 14 thousand 4 taka per 21 carat, 97 thousand 709 taka per 18 carat and 78 thousand 662 taka per traditional method.
Last Thursday (April 18), the price of 22 carat gold increased by 2 thousand 25 taka per load from 1 lakh 17 thousand 613 taka to 1 lakh 19 thousand 638 taka.
Two days after this, on Saturday, the price of 1 bar of 22 carat gold was reduced by 840 taka to 1 lakh 18 thousand 798 taka. After that, the price of gold increased again within 24 hours.
Earlier, on April 8, the price of gold was increased by Tk 1,750 per bar. At that time, the price of 22 carat gold was 1 lakh 17 thousand 573 taka. Just two days before that, on April 6, the price of gold was increased by Tk 1,750 per bar. At that time, the price of 22 carat gold was fixed at 1 lakh 15 thousand 824 taka.
Meanwhile, the price of gold has increased, but there has been no change in the price of silver.
