A woman’s throat was found in a locked room in Sreepur

The police recovered the body of a woman with her throat slit from the floor of a locked house in Sreepur, Gazipur. At that time, no trace of the husband of the housewife was found.
On Sunday (April 21st) at 9 am, the dead body of the woman was recovered from the rented house of Nagarhaola village of Gazipur union of the upazila and sent to the hospital for autopsy.
Deceased Azida Begum (38) is the daughter of Rumali Hossain of Hailati village of Kalmakanda upazila of Netrokona. He used to work in a local hotel from the house of Babul Khan, a local Nagarhaola village. However, the name of the husband of the deceased housewife was not found.
The owner of the house, Md. Babul Khan said, about 9 months ago, the husband and wife rented a room in my tinshed house. Although the wife was regular, the husband sometimes stayed at home. However, when asked to know the identity of her husband several times, she did not want to give any identity, only saying that he works in Mauna Chaurasta area. On Sunday morning, when the smell spread from their rented room, they broke the lock and found Azida Begum’s dead body on the floor and informed the police.
Hotel owner Dulal Kumar Ghosh said that woman used to work in my hotel. I do not know the identity of her husband. I have never seen her husband either.
Sreepur police station OC Mohammad Akbar Ali Khan told Sangamb that a woman’s throat slit body was recovered from the room of the rented house after receiving information from the locals. A blood stained bottle was recovered from the side of the body. I believe that the woman was killed by cutting her throat with a stick sometime on Friday. Husband not found. The police are working to identify the name of the husband. It is believed that the deceased’s husband may be involved in this murder. The body was recovered and sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
