The body of the missing navy man who went down to bathe in the river was recovered

The body of a Navy member named Abul Hasan, who went missing to bathe in the Muhuri river in Feni, has been recovered.

Members of the fire service diving team from Chittagong rescued the body from the depths of the river around 9:20 pm on Saturday.

Abul Hasan is the son of Abul Khair of Dhanikunda village of that union. He was working as a soldier in Chittagong Navy.

Parashuram Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shahadat Hossain Khan said, Abul Hasan went missing after taking a bath.

He was rescued by a team of local fire service and Chittagong divers and navy after a long 7-hour search.

He also said that the body of the deceased will be sent to Feni General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

It is to be noted that Abul Hasan went down to take a bath in the Muhuri river with five friends from the area on Saturday around two o’clock in the afternoon due to the heat. Suddenly sink under the water. Four friends immediately tried to rescue him but failed. Later, Parashuram informed the members of the fire service.

Despite many searches, the members of the fire service failed to rescue the missing Abul Hasan. After informing Chittagong diving team, they quickly came and started rescue work. The Navy also joined it. Abul Hasan’s body was recovered after 7 long hours.
