Sadar Thana Police recovered the cut throat body of a housewife named Iti Begum (40) in Narail Sadar Upazila.
On Sunday (April 21) around 9:30 pm, Gobra of the upazila was rescued from the tenant’s house in Dakshinpara area. In this incident Monirul Molya, the tenant of that house is absconding.

The deceased is the wife of Hafez Shariful Islam of Gobra village of Iti Begum upazila.

The body of the girl was recovered from the house of her lover’s relative
According to the police, a day laborer named Monirul Molya came to this area from Fakirhat area of Bagerhat with his family in search of work. Imam Shafiqul rented the empty single room of his house. A couple of months ago, the tenant Monirul sent his family home to the village. On April 18, the victim’s husband, Hafez Shafiqul Islam, left his home to work at Mithapur Madrasa in Naldi Union of Lohagara Upazila. Since then, Iti Begum’s neighbors have been unable to see her and find her house locked from outside. After that, he was searched in different places, but he was not found.
Iti Begum’s neighbors and local people informed her husband and the police station when a foul smell came out of the house on Sunday (April 21) evening. At night, the police came to the spot and broke the lock of the house door and entered inside. The police recovered the body of Iti Begum from under the bed.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar police station in this regard. Saiful Islam said that the knife used in the murder was seized from the scene as evidence. The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy. A murder case is pending in this incident.
