A child died after being hit by a moving ceiling fan in Bhola

A child student named Samia (10) tragically died after a moving ceiling fan fell down in Bhola’s Lalmohan.

On April 20, Saturday afternoon, the child was taken to Bhola Sadar Hospital after a ceiling fan fell on his body. Later, when the conditions deteriorated there, he died on the way to Dubai on Sunday morning, 21 April.

Lalmohan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Samia Lalmohan Upazila Farajganj Union No. 5 Ward. Hussain’s daughter. Hussain is an electrician by profession. The child was a class IV student of a local government primary school.

According to the police quoting the family, the child was sleeping at home on Saturday afternoon. At this time, a moving ceiling fan fell from above and fell on the child’s body. The immediate relatives rescued the child and first took him to Lalmohan Upazila Health Complex. Later he was sent to Bhola Sadar Hospital from there. The doctor on duty at Sadar Hospital saw the condition of the child as critical and referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DHMC). The child died on the way there.

OC said that the child’s family has no complaint in this incident. So the body of the child has been handed over to the family.
