The Bangladesh team will play a 5-match T20 series against Zimbabwe at the beginning of next month. Before this series, the hosts will have a three-day preparation camp in Chittagong. Since the first three matches are in Chittagong, the team management has decided to conduct the camp there. The three-day camp will be ‘Closed Door’. No journalist will get a chance to cover this exercise. BCB confirmed the matter in a press release.

This camp will start from next Friday. The national selection panel has chosen a squad of 17 for this. It is known that the team management has arranged practice behind closed doors at the request of the cricketers. The selectors will announce the team for the Zimbabwe series at the end of this three-day camp.

Although the selectors are not sitting for this camp. For the past two days, the cricketers have been practicing indoors in Mirpur under the supervision of coach Chandika Hathurusingh. All the coaching staff have already left. The cricketers will leave for Chittagong after playing the third round match of the Super League on Thursday.

Mohammad Saifuddin, Parvez Hossain Imon, Tanveer Islam and Afif Hossain got an opportunity after a long time in the upcoming preparation camp. On the other hand, Tanjid Hasan Tamim got a chance for the first time. None of these five were in the last T20 series against Sri Lanka. However, they are not new to the national team. All but Tanjid Hasan have made their debut for the national team in this format.
