The student, identified as Jaina Habib Prapti, 23, died on Wednesday afternoon.
After analyzing the video footage of the area, Adabar Police Station OC Kazi Shahiduzzaman thinks that the incident is ‘suicide’.

Jaina Habib was studying in the second year of the accounting department of Dhaka University. His father Habibul Aziz is an engineer, police said. Their village home is Noakhali.
Mohammadpur Zone Assistant Commissioner Mujib Patwari said the video footage showed him walking on the roof with the roof door of the building No. 16 inside. He then left his mobile phone and a note and jumped.
The police official said the note contained “frustrations about personal and family life”. They live in a two-storey flat in that building.
