The body of a student of Dhaka University (DU) has been recovered from Japan Garden City in Mohammadpur area of the capital. He was initially thought to have committed suicide.
The body of the student was recovered around 5:30 pm on Wednesday (June 1).
The name of the deceased student was received by Jaina Habib; He was a student in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the university.
Adabar police sub-inspector (SI) Matiur Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Citing eyewitnesses, he said that at around 8:30 pm, the student jumped from Building No. 16 in Japan Garden City at around 5:30 pm. Police are at the scene. The family decides what to do next.
Dhaka University Proctor Professor. Ghulam Rabbani said, we have heard such a news. This matter is being investigated.
