The police recovered the bodies of a husband and wife from a flat in a multi-storied building in Sreepur, Gazipur. At this time, the note was recovered from the table. They got married 7-8 months ago without the permission of the family.
Friday (April 26) in the morning of Mulaid village of the upazila. Their bodies were recovered from a flat on the ground floor of Farooq Khan’s multi-storied building.
The deceased are Md. of Haldi village of Jhenaigati police station in Sherpur district. Son of Mofizul Haque. Israfil (17) and Mosa, daughter of Abul Kashem of Pastari village, Ishwarganj police station, Mymensingh district. Rokeya Khatun (15).
Both of them are from Mulaid village in Sreepur. Israfil used to work in a local workshop and Rokeya in a local factory from the rent in Farooq Hossain’s multi-storied building.
The relatives of the deceased said that their relationship is going well. Recently, Israfil left home after quarreling with his parents. Later on Thursday they were explained and brought home. Their bodies were recovered from the flat in the morning.
Mofizul Haq, the father of the deceased Israfil, said that they lived in a flat together. They did the family cooking in Israfil’s flat. On Friday morning, he found the door of Israfil’s flat open and went inside to find Israfil hanging wrapped in a veil and Rokeya’s body on the bed. A note was later found on the side.
It was written in the note, parents, forgive me, I could not stay with you. My life hangs for me. So I couldn’t stay. I don’t blame anyone. No one is at fault. My soul is waiting for me. Everyone will be fine. Mother, bury Rocare next to me. Mother, I don’t know why my life was leaked. I am fully responsible for that. No one is at fault.
Sripur Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Sakhawat Hossain said that the bodies of the husband and wife were recovered after receiving information. Initially, it is believed that the wife committed suicide due to a family dispute. The husband could not bear the suicide of his wife, he committed suicide. The body has been recovered and sent to the morgue of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Details will be known after the autopsy.
