Dhaka: Educational institutions are opening from April 28 after being closed for a week due to heatwave after the Eid holidays. Classes will continue on Saturdays after opening.

On Thursday (April 25) a notification in this regard has been issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education.

It is said in the notification, due to the heat wave in continuation of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, it was decided to start class activities in educational institutions after the holiday announced by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education on April 20.

It is said that educational institutions will be open as usual from Sunday, April 28 and class activities will continue. The assembly will remain closed until the temperature is reduced to a tolerable level.

According to the notification, the part of class activities which are conducted outside the classroom and the activities which require exposure to sunlight will be limited.

The class activities will continue on Saturday till further instructions are given to meet the learning gap created due to closure of the class activities due to heat and other reasons and to achieve the learning results according to the new curriculum.

The notification signed by Deputy Secretary Mosammat Rahima Akhter stated that this order will be effective immediately.
