The Philips 5000 series of indoor 360-degree cameras was launched in India on April 24. The camera was also showcased at CES 2024. This security camera supports 2K quality video recording without the need for a constant Wi-Fi connection. Footage can be saved to an SD card and then uploaded to the relevant application or cloud if an internet connection is available. The camera can be monitored using Philips’ companion smartphone app. It also has night vision and can capture black and white images.

The Philips 5000 series indoor 360-degree camera has a 3-megapixel image sensor and supports 2K (2,304 × 1,296 pixels) resolution video recording. You have the option of using a microSD card up to 128GB for 24 x 7 recording. It also supports offline recording, and in the absence of an active Internet connection, the camera can continue recording to a microSD card or optional cloud backup for a monthly fee.

This security camera is compatible with the Philips Home Security app. Users can use the app to control specific camera functions and monitor security footage. It comes with a two-way talk and siren feature that lets you talk and respond through the app. The camera is also said to use AI-powered motion detection tools to detect sounds, including the cries of people, pets and children.
