Driving a rickshaw for half an hour in this unbearable heat is difficult. To provide food for the family of five, they have to drive a rickshaw in the hot sun. He also said that the number of passengers has decreased in summer and the income has dropped to half.

Around 3 pm, some people were seen resting on the floor of Mordan Mor in the city. Talked there with auto driver Manik Mia, Asadul and some other people. They said that when they go outside in this summer, headache starts. Throat becomes dry due to thirst. Suffocating condition due to intense heat from the road. It has been found out from various health complexes of the district including Rangpur Medical College (RAMEC) Hospital that in the last two weeks more than three hundred men and women have been treated for diarrhoea, fever and cold. Moreover, more and more patients are receiving treatment every day. Low income day laborers, laborers, farm laborers are suffering from heat stroke due to intense heat. A person suffering from heatstroke died in Ramek Hospital three days ago.

According to the emergency department of Rangpur Medical College (RAMEC) hospital, the number of people suffering from fever, cold and diarrhea has increased due to extreme heat. At least 30 patients have been hospitalized with heatstroke in the last three days.

Mostafizar Rahman, in-charge and assistant meteorologist of Rangpur Meteorological Office, said that the maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Rangpur on Wednesday (April 24) till 3 pm. This heat wave will continue for another four to five days. This official of the Meteorological Office also said that there is no possibility of rain for now.
