Apple sends out invitations for the May 7 conference, where the new iPad is expected to launch

apple The company will launch the new product at an online event on May 7, according to an invitation sent to the media on Tuesday.

The event, whose slogan is “Let It Be Still,” will be streamed live on Apple’s website at 10 a.m. ET. Corporate press conferences are often pre-recorded.

After not releasing any new models in 2023, Apple is expected to release a new iPad. Apple Pencil, the company’s iPad stylus, appears on the invitation. Apple may release an upgraded version of its high-end iPad Pro, as well as a larger iPad Air, according to analysts and reports.

The company sometimes releases new colors of the iPhone, Apple Watch and accessories in the spring. Apple last held a spring event in March 2022, when it unveiled the latest versions of the iPad Air and low-end iPhones.

Millions of people tune in to live broadcasts of Apple’s launch events, an important marketing channel for the company.

Apple is expected to make a major AI announcement this year, possibly at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
