Natore: Another private car used in the kidnapping and beating of Singra Upazila Parishad chairman candidate Delwar Hossain of Natore has been seized by the police.
On Sunday (April 21) evening, the black colored private car (Dhaka Metro-G-29-3144) used in the abduction was seized by conducting raids in different places of Singra Upazila.
This information was informed in a press release sent from the office of the Police Superintendent of Nato on Monday (April 22) afternoon. The owner of the impounded private car is Mizanur Rahman of Ninggain area of Singra Upazila.
According to the press release, on the afternoon of April 15, 15/20 unidentified people abducted chairman candidate Delwar Hossain in a black colored microbus from inside the district election office. A black microbus as well as a private car was used in the kidnapping. The private car was seized on the basis of tip-off.
Besides, last Saturday (April 20), the black microbus used in the kidnapping was seized by the DB police. Sharp weapons and documents, leaflets and posters of Ork Enterprises, owned by Lutful Habib Rubel, who withdrew his candidacy from Singra Upazila Parishad elections, were seized from inside that car.

They have admitted their involvement in the incident. Legal action is being taken against them. Besides, he said that the police operation is going on to arrest the absconding accused involved in the incident.
It should be noted that last Monday (April 15) Delwar Hossain went out to deposit the security money in the bank for filing the nomination papers. At that time, when they urgently went to the district election office, some miscreants abducted Alauddin Munsi from there in a black colored microbus. Later, when Delwar Hossain came down from the election office, he was also taken in a microbus. At this time, miscreants beat him inside the car. At that time they also used a private car for this work.
Later in the afternoon, Delwar dropped Hossain in front of his house (Parasaiil village of Kalam union of Singra upazila). Two CCTV footages of the abduction of chairman candidate Delwar Hossain have been found. The car in which Delwar Hossain was abducted belonged to his rival Lutful Habib Rubel. When the brother of the injured Delwar Hossain filed a case as a plaintiff, the police conducted a raid and arrested the three accused.
