Shariful Raj starrer Mustafa Kamal Raj’s ‘Omar’ is doing well in multiplexes across the country. Now the film is being released in at least twenty states of the United States!
The film will be shown in multiplex theaters in 20 states including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Virginia, and Dallas.

According to a press release, the first phase of ‘Omar’ will be released on April 26 simultaneously in New York, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco. After that, the film will be shown in the rest of the state. The film will run in these states till May 12.
Apart from this, the film will be shown in multiplexes in several other places including Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton in Canada from May 10.
‘Omar’ will be released in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi in the Middle East at the end of May. The film is being distributed outside the country by Bioscope Films, an international distribution company.
Raj Hamid, leader of the organization, said that there has been a lot of interest in Bangladeshi cinema among expatriate Bengalis for a few years. Earlier, several films including ‘Hawa’, ‘Paran’, ‘Tunnel’, ‘Priyatma’ created a stir among the expatriates. Apart from that, now Bangladeshi directors are making some films of international quality. All those films are being discussed in the country. Which is also spreading among expatriate visitors outside the country.

Siddique Ahmed has written the screenplay of the movie Omar. It also stars Shabnam Bubli, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Nasir Uddin Khan, Rozi Siddiqui, Erfan Mridha Shiblu, Ayman Shimla. Darshana Vanik from Calcutta performed an item song written by Johnny Hawk.
