Chittagong: The operations of the Naval Police, including operations to protect the biodiversity of the Halda River for almost two years, net recovery, installation of CCTV cameras, have been particularly appreciated across the country. The works were led by Superintendent of Police (SP) of Naval Police Chittagong Region Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan.

The Superintendent of Police, who has been working tirelessly for almost 2 years for the protection of Halda River fish breeding and biodiversity and other rivers, has officially left Chittagong on Wednesday (August 31). His next destination is Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

Halda researcher and coordinator of Halda Research Laboratory of Chittagong University Professor Manjurul Kibria told Banglanews that it is very difficult to find such a dedicated police officer to protect the biodiversity of the river. He spent his last working day in Chittagong due to transfer to Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Halda River people will remember him with respect. I hope you will always be with the river, stay by the river.
