A BCS candidate named Fahad Faisal was not allowed to enter the examination hall in Rajshahi as he came after the scheduled time. If you don’t give the exam, you will die – even after many pleas, nothing happened. After not being able to get inside, Fahad lay down on the road and started crying.

At that time he was saying again and again if I don’t pass this exam I will die sir. I won’t live anymore. This is my last exam. But in the end, Fahad could not pass the exam. At one point, Fahad went back from the front of the center crying.

The incident took place in front of the Masjid Mission Academy examination center in Barakuthi area of Rajshahi city on Friday (April 26) morning.

Fahad Faisal was supposed to participate in the 46th BCS preliminary examination. His home is in Naogaon district.

The reason for not being able to give Fahad’s BCS exam is that the exam was supposed to start at 10 am. The rule was that candidates should enter the center half an hour before that. Fahad came in front of the center at 9:40. Meanwhile, the main gate of the examination center was closed. So he was not allowed to enter the center. Fahad requested the police to let him in. But the police did not agree. This broke Fahad’s dream of becoming a BCS cadre.

Due to this, Fahad started crying in front of the centre. He hit his head and fell on the road. However, the concerned people of the center did not lose heart. During this incident, traffic on that road was stopped for a while. At one stage, after lying on the road, Fahad got up and left. He was not found later.

Public Works Commission (PSC) Rajshahi Regional Office Deputy Director Noor Ahmed Machum told the media that several days ago, the chairman held a virtual meeting with all central secretaries. He directed that if no one enters the center half an hour before the start of the examination, he should not be allowed to enter. That instruction has been implemented during the examination.

He said that the candidate should have come on time. The authorities are not responsible for this.

On Friday, there were 31 thousand 947 candidates from eight districts of the department in 29 centers of Rajshahi city. Among them, 24 thousand 118 people gave the exam. The examination is conducted from 10 am to 12 noon. However, during the examination, a candidate was expelled from Shah Makhdoom College Centre. Apart from that, the examination was conducted in a peaceful environment in other centres, the officials said.
