Shabiprabi (Sylhet): The admission test of 24 universities under general, science and technology clusters will start from next Saturday (April 27). Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Shabiprabi) will be held as the regional center for the first year ‘A’ unit examination of the academic year 2023-24.
9 thousand 213 examinees will participate in Shabiprobi center in three units in this examination. The university administration will provide 13 bus services for the convenience of students who want to get admission.
University Transport Administrator Professor Mohammad Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter on Friday (April 26) evening.
He said that 13 buses have been allocated for the convenience of the admission candidates and parents to come and go to the center. Additional trips will also be arranged if required to address travel issues.
According to the sources of the transport department, on the day of the examination, around 10:30 am, 11 buses will come to the campus via Kadamtali, Tilagarh, Eidgah, Lakkatura, Shivganj, Nayorpool, Kumarpara, Jailroad, Nayasak Point, Chowhatta, Amberkhana, Rikabibazar and Subidbazar. Later, the buses will return from the campus around 1:30 pm on the same route. On the other hand, 2 buses will leave from Eidgah and Tilagarh at 1.30 pm for architecture practical exam candidates on Saturday afternoon shift. which will return on the same route at 4:30 p.m.
Member secretary of the admission committee with overall preparation of the exam. Abu Saeed Arefin Khan said, all preparations have already been completed in order to complete the examination properly and beautifully. Apart from this, handball ground for parents’ car parking, cafeteria, university center and central auditorium will be open from morning for rest. The food court and staff canteen along with the cafeteria will be open for breakfast from 8:30 am. Besides, medical team and 2 ambulances will be ready for emergency treatment.
Science faculty ‘A’ unit examination next Saturday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm practical (drawing) examination for admission to architecture department will be held. After that, the admission test will be held on Friday (May 3) for humanities faculty ‘B’ unit and commerce faculty ‘C’ unit on Friday (May 10).
