Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Bangladesh has made great progress in terms of economy, looking at Bangladesh now I feel ashamed.

He said this in an exchange meeting with business leaders of Pakistan on Wednesday (April 24). News from Hindustan Times.

Shehbaz Sharif thinks that Bangladesh has made great progress since independence. He said in the meeting of traders, ‘Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan before 1971. I was very young. We were told that Bangladesh is a burden on us. Today everyone knows where that burden has reached from the economic point of view. I am ashamed to look at the progress of the country. Because, even though Bangladesh has moved forward, Pakistan is still far behind.’

On this day, the business leaders of different provinces of the country urged the new Prime Minister to start business negotiations with the arch-rival India.

In a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif, Arif Habib, head of Arif Habib Group, Pakistan’s largest business organization, said, ‘After coming to power, you have joined hands with some people. Which got good results. We have made progress. I suggest you shake hands with some other people. One of them is to start trade with India. It will greatly benefit our economy.’

Arif Habib also told Shehbaz Sharif, ‘You should also shake hands with the person in Adiala jail (PTI leader Imran Khan). Try to fix things at these levels. I believe you can do it.’

National Assembly elections were held in Pakistan in February this year. Shehbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time through this election.

Pakistan’s economic situation has been in a critical state for the past few years. Pressure is on Shehbaz Sharif to change this situation.
