Chittagong: 3 T20 cricket matches will be held at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from May 3 to May 7.

Bangladesh cricket team will come to Chittagong on Thursday (April 25) night to play the series and Zimbabwe cricket team will come to Chittagong from next Sunday (April 28).

Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) Kazi Md. of Media and Public Relations Department of Chittagong Metropolitan Police regarding security around the series. Tarek Aziz told BanglaNews that a strict security system will be established around hotels, roads and Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium ahead of the cricket match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport and Hotel will have three levels of security.

Meanwhile, a security coordination meeting on the occasion of Bangladesh-Zimbabwe national cricket team’s upcoming visit to Chittagong was held on Thursday (April 25) at the conference room of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) commissioner’s office in Dampara city.

CMP Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) AS Mahtab Uddin presided over the meeting, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Abdul Mannan Mia, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Masood Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Md. Abdul Warish and other police officials. Senior officials and BCB, district administration, WASA, Chittagong City Corporation, CDA, APBN, Fire Service, RAB, BRTA, CMCH, BPDB, security officers of Radisson Blu Hotel and representatives of various government and private organizations were present.
