If there was no rain, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to pray Istiska in the open field with his companions. They repented to the great Lord for their sins, prayed two rakats for forgiveness and prayed for rain. We also repented for our mistakes and prayed for the welfare of the country and the nation, hoping for the rain of mercy to get rid of the intense heat. We have to turn away from all sins and return to Almighty Allah. Only then can we be successful.
